Washing instruction

Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Occasionally hang the garment outside to freshen up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . When hand washing, never rub hard to avoid felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let woolen clothes dry flat.

If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer. You also save the environment by airing instead of washing.

About Norlender

Norlender is a family business, founded by Ola Tveiten in 1927. Since then, the family has produced everything from cotton underwear to traditional wool knit sweaters. Today, the factory in Hosanger on Osterøy is run by the third and fourth generations of Tveiten with the aim of continuing their Norwegian knitting traditions and ensuring sustainable textile production in Norway in the future.

Norlender is still one of the few textile producers in Norway. They are proud to offer a completely Norwegian product, knitted and sewn in Western Norway with Norwegian wool. Today, most of the collection is produced in the historic knitting factory on Osterøy, outside Bergen. Everything labeled Made in Norway is both knitted and sewn here. Parts of the collection that they cannot produce themselves are now knitted and sewn in cooperative factories in the Baltic States.
