What are the sheepskin mittens made of?
Only natural products have been used to make these beautiful mittens, namely sheepskin. This is turned inside out so that you can feel the soft wool on the inside, and the soft suede makes the mittens supple. The wool on the inside is not only soft and comfortable. Due to its unique properties, it is perfectly capable of retaining heat and wicking away perspiration. Because you wear your fingers together, optimal warmth is created. Ideal for people who quickly get cold fingers. We recommend that wet mittens be allowed to air dry and never in direct sunlight or on a heater.
Maintenance tip
To preserve your sheepskin mittens, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray (no mousse) before the first use - and then regularly. This protects the product against water and dirt. We recommend the Collonil Active Universal protector for this. Please note: sheepskin products cannot be washed!
Size advice
You get wonderfully warm hands with the right size mittens. In this way a layer of warm air is created between the skin and the sheepskin. That means that the sheepskin mittens should not be too tight. In addition, if mittens are too small, tension is created on the seams. This increases the risk of wear.
You determine the ideal size by laying your hand flat (see the image below). Then measure the circumference of your hand. It is best to measure with your writing hand. Finally, look in the table for the size that suits you.
Mate | Circumference of your hand at the knuckles |
Width of the mitten (measured flat at the knuckles - without the thumb). |
Total length of the mitten (without cover). |
7/S | approx. 20/21 cm. | approx. 12 cm. | approx. 28 cm. |
8/M | approx. 22/23 cm. |
approx. 12.5 cm. |
approx. 30 cm. |
9/L | approx. 24 cm. |
approx. 13 cm. |
approx. 31 cm. |
10/XL | approx. 25 cm. |
approx. 13.5 cm. |
approx. 32 cm. |
11/XXL | approx. 26 cm. |
approx. 14 cm. |
approx. 33.5 cm. |
In this way you measure the circumference of the hand at the level of the knuckles, including the thumb.
