Sheepskin slipper with fur trim.

The Vera sheepskin slippers surround your feet with pleasant warmth. The soft fur trim provides extra warmth around the ankles. Ideal to wear indoors all year round, thanks to the natural properties of wool.

  • Size recommendation: your normal shoe size +2.
  • Do you have a half shoe size? Then round it up and then follow the sizing advice. More explanation can be found at the bottom of this page.
  • Having doubts about the size? Please contact our customer service, we are happy to help you.
  • Made of sheepskin; soft fur on the inside and supple sheep suede on the outside.
  • Fur trim can be turned up or down as desired. In some cases, the suede of the shaft is slightly darker or lighter in color than the rest of the slipper.
  • Sturdy sole made of supple rubber.

What is the Vera slipper made of?

This slipper is made of wonderfully soft and supple sheepskin. This natural material keeps your feet pleasantly warm without feeling clammy. Sheep's wool is moisture-regulating, breathable and has the natural ability to absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture. As a result, you enjoy warm and dry feet. A nice bonus is that the lanolin in wool (wool grease) makes your feet wonderfully soft. Feel free to wear the slippers with bare feet.

Maintenance tip

To preserve your sheepskin slippers, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray (not a mousse) before the first use - and regularly thereafter. This protects the product from water and dirt. We recommend the Collonil Active Universal protector for this purpose. Please note: sheepskin products cannot be washed!

Size advice

Choosing the right size sheepskin slippers requires attention. There are two reasons for this:

1. Creating a layer of air. Wool has unique properties, but these only come into their own when there is sufficient air between the fur and the skin. This allows any perspiration to dissipate while maintaining warm and dry feet.

2. Suppleness of sheep leather. Sheep leather, unlike cow leather, is a lot more supple and softer. This also makes the material more fragile. A foot in a slipper that is too small creates pressure points that can cause premature wear.

To wear the right slippers, we recommend ordering this model two sizes larger than your own shoe size. Because of the sheepskin, the slippers come out smaller. Do you have half a shoe size? Then round it down and follow the size recommendation. Example: you have shoe size 38,5. Round this down to size 38. Follow the size recommendation +2, you will order the slipper in size 40.

Is the size still not right? Then you can return the slippers and exchange them for another size.

Origin

Since Texelana has no production capacity on Texel, all our sheepskin products are made by small-scale sewing workshops in Europe. Of course according to EU guidelines.
