Maintenance
Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Occasionally hang the garment outside to freshen up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . When hand washing, never rub hard to avoid felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let woolen clothes dry flat.
If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer. You also save the environment by airing instead of washing.
About Dale of Norway
The village of Dale is located between steep mountains, waterfalls and fjords on the west coast of Norway. In 1872, Peder Lebsen traveled through the small village of Dale, close to the city of Bergen. He saw in Dale the ideal place to set up a first class textile production plant. The Dale of Norway textile factory was completed in 1879 and has continued to operate in the village of Dale ever since.
From the beginning, the focus was on making high-quality wool products. The factory soon grew into the largest employer in the region. Skilled knitters and artisans joined the company, often followed by their relatives. This experience and expertise was then passed on to the next generation.
The company stands for premium quality in every garment - a trademark of Dale of Norway since 1879.
