Woolborg slipper.

These sheep wool slippers are wonderful to get into when you get out of bed. Model Mara is made of sheep's wool and jersey (this combination is called woolborg)

What is wolborg?

Wolborg is made of wool, woven in tricot. This creates a material that is strong, soft and warm.

Woolborg slippers are cheaper, but also more susceptible to wear than sheepskin slippers. Friction (especially under the foot) can loosen the wool hairs, which can cause scuffs. This process takes place at a variable pace, but in some cases can occur within a few months.

Just like with socks, the lifespan of these slippers also depends on the type of floor you walk on. On a rough tile floor, for example, the studs and the wool will wear out faster than on a smooth PVC floor.

The big advantage of slippers, made of natural materials such as sheep's wool, is that you get wonderfully warm feet. Sheep's wool is moisture-regulating and breathable and has the natural property that it can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. You can wear woolborg slippers with bare feet.

Size advice

You will experience optimal wearing pleasure with the right size slippers. This means that there must be enough space between your foot and the slipper. Only then can a warm air layer be created and perspiration moisture can be removed. Another reason for choosing the right size is wear. This process goes faster with slippers that are too small, because pressure points can then arise.

Go for long wearing pleasure and follow our size advice: order in the same size as your normal shoe size. Do you have half a shoe size? Then round it up and then follow the size advice. Example: you have shoe size 38.5. Round this up = size 39. Follow the size advice +0, you order the slipper in size 39.
