What is the Maya slipper made of?

The Maya sheepskin slippers are made from only natural materials. The slipper is made of reversed sheepskin and the sole is made of supple cowhide leather. The fur on the inside retains heat perfectly and warms your feet. You do not suffer from clammy feet due to the excellent moisture regulation that is characteristic of wool. The skin is pleasantly softened by the natural lanolin (wool fat). So feel free to wear the sheepskin slippers without stockings or socks. The supple leather of the slippers ensures optimal wearing comfort.

Size advice

The unique effect of sheep's wool comes into its own when you wear the right size slippers. This means that there must be sufficient space between the skin of your foot and the slipper, so that a layer of air is created. This retains heat and perspiration can easily be transported to the outside. This ensures a pleasantly dry feeling.

Although sheepskin is soft and supple, it is more fragile than, for example, cowhide. If the sheepskin slippers are purchased too small, pressure points may arise. The product may wear or tear sooner.

Do you have half a shoe size? Then round it up and then follow the size advice. Example: you have shoe size 38.5. Round this up = size 39.

Is the size not right? Then you can return the slippers and exchange them for a different size.

Maintenance tip

To preserve your sheepskin slippers, we recommend spraying them with a protective spray (no mousse) before the first use - and then regularly. This protects the product against water and dirt. We recommend the Collonil Active Universal protector for this. Please note: sheepskin products cannot be washed!

Origin

Since Texelana has no production capacity on Texel, all our sheepskin products are made by small-scale sewing workshops in Europe. Of course according to the EU guidelines.
