The Devold® Arktis sweater is inspired by the iconic Nansen sweater. While the Nansen is a thick and sturdy sweater, the Arktis is a softer, thinner and more versatile version of the original. Pure virgin wool is naturally temperature-regulating and breathable, and wicks moisture away from your body.

The classic Arktis sweater is knitted in a mixed color scheme, which gives the sweater a robust and trendy look. The cuffs and hem are rib knitted.

Maintenance

Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Occasionally hang the garment outside to freshen up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . When hand washing, never rub hard to avoid felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let woolen clothes dry flat.

If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer. You also save the environment by airing instead of washing.

These sweaters were originally made for fishermen and other workers in the harsh climate along the Norwegian coast. Nowadays the Devold sweaters are very popular and perfect to wear in cold weather.
