Soft women's cardigan made of wool mix.
This elegant, long cardigan is made of a thinner quality boiled wool. The material is covered with TENCEL®; This material is mainly on the inside, which gives a soft and cool feeling on the skin. The cardigan is a bit longer, has two piped pockets and has a handy two-way zipper. The cardigan feels soft and comfortable and can also be worn as a summer jacket.
- Material: 60% felted wool and 40% Tencel®
- Closure: with a two-way zipper
- Lining: unlined
- Detail: embroidered Ivanhoe logo on left sleeve.
- Washing advice: wool wash program max. 30°C or gentle hand wash. Then let it dry flat.

Washing instructions
Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Hang the garment outside occasionally to freshen it up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . Never rub hard when washing by hand to prevent felting. Always look at the label in the garment for washing instructions. Always let woolen clothing lie flat to dry.
Treating your woolen garment in this way will not only make it more beautiful and last longer. By airing instead of washing you also save the environment.
Store woolen clothes
We recommend that you store your woolen clothing clean, possibly with a bag of lavender; this keeps the moths at bay. It is also best to store woolen clothing lying down, so that the elasticity of the wool is not affected.
Pills and fluff
Wool can pill or pill due to use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural frizz (curl). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. When felting, the hairs join together due to friction. In fact, every movement causes friction. You often find the lint/pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.
New clothing may sometimes have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.
Unfortunately, pills and lint on your beautiful (merino) woolen clothing cannot be prevented. We have some tips on how to delay this process somewhat and how to remove the lint and pills. For this information we refer to our blog.
