Irish women's sweater with high turtleneck, made of merino wool.
This West End women's jumper is knitted in traditional Irish cable knits. The turtleneck gives this sweater extra warmth and also a chic look. A beautiful and comfortable sweater!
The knitting patterns symbolize the Fishermans ropes and the center panel with the diamond stitch represents wealth or success. The pattern on the back is the same as on the front. The sleeves have a mix of cables, checks and basket stitches. All these stitches combined tell a story; maybe a fun fact!
- Material : 100 % merino wool
- Color : Garnet (red)
Made in Ireland

Washing instruction
Wool is a great material for making clothes because it is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Occasionally hang the garment outside to freshen up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend Texelana Wool Detergent . When hand washing, never rub hard to avoid felting. Always check the label in the garment for the washing instructions. Always let woolen clothes dry flat.
If you treat your wool garment in this way, it will not only stay nicer and last longer. You also save the environment by airing instead of washing.
Pills and fluff
Wool can pill or pill with use. This has nothing to do with the quality of the wool. Pilling is a natural phenomenon that is mainly caused by friction. Wool consists of many hairs with a natural frizz (curls). Friction can cause the wool to pill and felt. With felting, the hairs join together due to the friction. In fact, any movement causes friction. You will therefore often find the fluff / pills on the sleeves and under the armpits.
New clothes can sometimes also have some loose hairs left behind after the weaving and knitting process.
Unfortunately, pills and fluff on your beautiful (merino) wool clothing cannot be prevented. We have some tips to delay this process a bit and how to remove the lint and pills. For this information we refer to our blog.
